Why do the Band Boosters Support Bingo?
Funds raised from the Scarlet Brigade's sponsorship of the Saturday Night Vaca Valley Bingo game represent 70% of the band program's income budget. Without this critically important funding source, the program would come to a virtual standstill. Of course, the key to ensuring the health and vitality of the Bingo program is the continued participation and support of our incredible boosters. If our talented kids are the heart of the band, then boosters and bingo are the blood that sustains them. Consider the contribution of your time as an investment in our children.
Working Bingo provides fulfillment to our volunteers in many ways. Volunteering for Bingo is most definitely a team event that will allow volunteers to get to know fellow boosters. Many long friendships have started from working together at the Bingo Hall. Bingo also allows volunteers to help fund the considerable cost of trips for their students, while simultaneously providing much needed funds for the Scarlet Brigade General Fund. Starting this year, the hourly rate paid out for bingo is raised from $8.00 per hour to $10.00 per hour. It's a win-win for everyone.
How Can I Get Involved in Bingo?
It's as easy as an E-Mail! Contact our Bingo Director, Colleen Caswell-Snuffer at (707)888-5401 for more information about the Bingo program and the positions available. If you have never worked Bingo, please feel free to drop in to the Bingo Hall on any Saturday and we will introduce you to the world of Bingo. If you'd like to sign up, please call Karey Thompson at (707)437-3483 to volunteer.
How can My Student Get Involved in Bingo?
Limited student help is required at the Bingo Hall. Please call Karey Thompson at (707)437-3483 to sign up for student positions. All students must wear a Scarlet Brigade T-shirt when working Bingo.
