The Fairfield High School Scarlet Brigade is among the most accomplished Marching Bands in Northern California.  From its crimson, black, and white colors set in the uniforms of the Coldstream Guard of England, to its tartan kilts and feather bonnets of its trademark bagpipes, the Brigade provides students of the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District with the ultimate experience in musicianship, teamwork, and leadership.

Led by Band Director Steven S. Taylor, the Scarlet Brigade offers students a breadth of opportunities that is available in only the best music programs.  Along with a Pageantry/Winter Guard unit that competes at the highest level is a Drum Line corps that took regional honors last year.  The Pipe Band is among the most distinctive elements of the Scarlet Brigade, and are in constant demand for performances around the community.  The Wind Ensemble competes in various regional events, while the excellent Jazz Band plays at many local competitions, including the Santa Cruz and Reno festivals.  The Scarlet Brigade is also a major source of school spirit through the Pep Band that plays at many Fairfield High School home sporting events.

The Scarlet Brigade is supported by a strong Booster organization that is made up primarily of supportive parents who lend much of their time, energy, and resources to ensure that the band's needs are met.
