E-Waste Recycling Event Coming Soon - May 31, 2008!

NorCal E-Waste has teamed up with the Scarlet Brigade Band to hold a FREE electronic waste collection event on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Fairfield High School Student Parking Lot. We will accept TVs and monitors, computers and laptops, scanners and printers, all networking equipment, cell phones, toner cartridges, fax machines, ethernet cables, telephone systems, VCR's and DVD players, and any other electronic devices, cables, cords, keyboards and mouses. To keep this event free, we will not be able to accept appliances of any kind, or microwaves. This event is absolutely free. Drop off is fully assisted.  A flyer can be found here.  Download it and pass it out to family, friends, acquaintenances, strangers -- get the word out!

You don't need to get out of your car.  NorCal E-Waste will be making a donation to the Scarlet Brigade band for hosting this event.  Proceeds will benefit the Scarlet Brigade Band Trip Fund.

Year-end Update - Please Read Before Summer Break!

Watch your mail for important band information for the 2008-09 year.

You will receive the Director's letter with band camp information and schedules. Also included will be Hollywood Santa Parade trip information.

Mandatory mini camp for all new band students on June 6th, 2008. The camp will be held at the band room from 8am until 3pm with lunch provided by the Scarlet Brigade Band Boosters. This camp will provide instruction on the march before going out on summer break. By the end of the camp, you will know your march. Please plan on attending.

Attention, Seniors!!  The Janet Pimentel Scholarship

Details:  Two $750 scholarships are available to graduating Senior students enrolled in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District pursuing careers in music at an accredited institution and meeting specific criteria.  Application and essay are due (postmarked) by May 9.  The application can be found here, and scholarship details and instructions can be found here.  SENIORS - if you are interested, act NOW!!

Band Trip 2008 - The Hollywood Santa Parade!

The Scarlet Brigade is going to the Hollywood Santa Parade! The Scarlet Brigade has been invited to march in the star-studded, spectacular Hollywood Santa Parade on Sunday, November 30, 2008. This event is the largest celebrity parade in the world. The Band will ring in the holiday season with over 100 television and film stars and join several other bands, floats, and performers in this parade that is attended annually by over one million people. Trip plans are in process with our travel agent and will be announced shortly.
